Betreff: Information about structural resistance of paulownia wood poles or posts
(...)
Do you have data on vertical and lateral structural resistance of paulownia poles or
posts? By poles, I mean the round timber that grows directly on the plant, minus bark and
branches.
My company plans to plant a large extension of ground with fast-growing trees to produce
poles for applications in fencing, posts for powerlines and road illumination,
construction and underground mining support. Most of these applications require
non-serrated wood. That is why structural resistance values for the natural, round poles
is sought. For some applications, we are considering certain processes to give the poles a
longer useful life.
Alternatively, do you know somebody who can help me obtain such data?
Thanks in advance for your kind help.
Cordially yours,
Alberto Lobo-Guerrero S.
