There is a new scientific Journal devoted entirely to bamboo, with Dr. John Innes [https://www.sciencedirect.com/journal/advances-in-bamboo-science/about/edit…], former dean of forestry at the University of British Columbia, as it's Editor-in-Chief. This Journal is published by Elsevier, B.V.
Advances in Bamboo Science [https://www.sciencedirect.com/journal/advances-in-bamboo-science] is an interdisciplinary journal covering all aspects of bamboo, ranging from the growth and silviculture of the product, processing technologies, and new products. The potential of bamboo as a nature-based solution to many of the environmental problems facing the world is being increasingly recognized. Bamboo is found in many temperate, sub-tropical and tropical countries around the world, and is being increasingly cultivated because of the wide range of products associated with it. The journal accepts original research and state-of-the-art reviews on the classification, physiology, growth, properties, ecology and management of bamboo, its use in bioremediation and habitat restoration, and also has a strong focus on the products derived from bamboo, including foodstuffs, medicines, cosmetics, biochemicals, textiles, utensils, papers and tissues, flooring and cabinetry, and construction materials. Research examining the cultural, socio-economic and regional impacts of bamboo will also be considered.
This Journal is Open Access, [https://www.elsevier.com/journals/advances-in-bamboo-science/2773-1391/open…] meaning all articles are immediately and permanently free to read and download.
Please see this guide for authors [https://www.elsevier.com/journals/advances-in-bamboo-science/2773-1391/guid…] if you are interested in submitting an article.

2022 Taiwan Bamboo Forum ~ in preparation for the 12th World Bamboo Congress to be held in Taiwan in 2024:
SUNDAY, 18 DECEMBER - in person and online -
Evergreen Convention Center, Taipei TAIWAN
09:00 ~ 17:00 (GMT+8)
Next Generation | Next Generation Bamboo Forum
This forum will focus on three main themes: (1) Bamboo x Industry Innovation (2) Bamboo x Net Zero Carbon Emission (3) Bamboo x Contemporary Design
Three-sided entry, hope that through the "new era", "new opportunity" and "new thinking" talks, the future imagination of Taiwanese bamboo will be collided with the existing production restrictions framework, as an opportunity for green transformation.
Innovation >> > Bamboo X industry innovation
Theme (i) Circular economy v. s business model/industrial thinking
Unlocking the future of bamboo in Taiwan depends on modern craftsmanship, innovative technology, and a mindset that transforms the operation of the bamboo industry! From the perspective of familiarity with the upstream and downstream of Taiwan's bamboo industry and following the world trend, we jointly explore the innovative industrial type of "bamboo", the environmental potential structure. A number of successful cases of Taiwan bamboo promotion in the international market will be listed. From the source, we will explore how to use the new process to grind bamboo into powder and turn it into a global hot environmental protection appliance? Observe how it builds mass-produced industries step by step, combined with local creation, bringing jobs and economic benefits to the local area? Looking forward to inspiring start-ups from all walks of life to rethink the value of bamboo through the process of sharing.
