This will be a joint conference with the Wood Quality Modelling Working Party (IUFRO 5.01.04) where there will also be parallel sessions related to wood quality modelling. The conference will be hosted by Stellenbosch University, South Africa, between 8-11 September 2026 with a pre-conference tour from 5-7 September, and a welcome reception on the 7th of September. The main objective of this conference is to bring together the scientific and research communities working on hardwood products as well as wood quality modelling. ISCHP 2026 will address the following main topics: * Hardwood species, properties and quality; * Hardwood processing and products; * Structural and non-structural applications (connections, heritage structures, architecture, markets); * Wood quality modelling.
