Call for Abstracts (IUFRO Div 5) – Reminder !!
The 2017 IUFRO All-Division 5 (Forest Products) Conference will be held in Vancouver, Canada from June 12th to 16th, 2017. The Conference is organized jointly by IUFRO Division 5, the Faculty of Forestry at the University of British Columbia, FPInnovations, and the Society of Wood Science and Technology. The theme of the 2017 IUFRO Division 5 Conference is: Forest Sector Innovations for a Greener Future.
The Teakwood Working Party of IUFRO (Div 5.06.02) is organizing a Technical Session on “Teak Resources for a Sustainable Future” in association with TEAKNET-India and are currently soliciting presenters. Technical session details are available at http://www.iufrodiv5-2017.ca/submissions/technical-special-sessions/. The Abstract submission deadline is extended to 15 November 2016. As we quickly approach the end of year 2016, we would like to remind you that Abstracts for the 20th International Nondestructive Testing and Evaluation of Wood Symposium is due by February 1, 2017.
This international symposium will be hosted by the USDA Forest Service Forest Products Laboratory (FPL) and is co-sponsored by the International Union of Forestry Research Organizations (IUFRO) Research Group D5.02 and the Forest Products Society. It will be held in Madison, Wisconsin, USA on September 12-15, 2017. You can find out detail information about this event on the website: http://www.forestprod.org/symposium/. It is also posted in the IUFRO Calendar of Meetings: http://www.iufro.org/events/calendar/.
Display tables will be available for equipment developers, manufacturers, consultants, and others who would like to demonstrate their technologies and equipment. A nominal fee of $250 for display space is required. Proceeds will be used for the welcome reception at the BEST WESTERN PLUS InnTowner and The Highland Club (http://www.inntowner.com/ ).
