project would like to invite you to our new * webinar series*, which will
be launched *at the end of this month*.
The first webinar ‘*In-field diagnostics – the Genie and the LAMP’
<https://www.eventbrite.com/e/in-field-diagnostics-the-genie-and-the-lamp-ti…>
will be held on the 30th of November 2016 (15:00 CET).* The session will be
delivered by Fera <http://fera.co.uk/index.cfm>, to introduce LAMP
(loop-mediated
isothermal amplification) technology and its use for plant disease early
detection. LAMP is a DNA amplification technology which enables rapid and
sensitive detection and when run on the Genie III platform enables
detection of pests and diseases outside of the laboratory at any point in
the agri-food chain where decisions are being made.
Target audience are research students, researchers, agri-business and
forestry experts, farmers and foresters and any other person interested in
being introduced to this portable molecular diagnostic tools on plant
diseases.
The webinar is *free of charge* and places are limited, therefore
registrations will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis.
