Dear colleagues: A position for a post-doctoral researcher is available in the Department of Entomology, LSU AgCenter in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The focus of the project is the foraging behavior of the solitary ground nesting wasp, Cerceris fumipennis which provisions its nest almost exclusively with buprestid beetles. The successful candidate will explore the potential application of the wasp in surveying the buprestid beetle community of the southeastern US and as a biosurveillance tool for non-native buprestid beetles.
