Please be aware that the deadline for paying via credit card is July 7, 2017. Credit card payments will NOT be accepted after this date! Credit card payments will NOT be accepted "at the door!"
IMPORTANT!!!: If you are not paying your registration fee with a credit card, please go to Eventbrite website (https://sfiwc2017.eventbrite.com) to fill out the registration form, indicating your payment preference. One banquet ticket (for yourself) is included in your registration fee. Children 12-and-under have their own menu choice: Chicken Fingers with fries and a fruit cup. Extra banquet tickets for adult ($35) and child ($20) guests can be purchased using the online registration form.
Our field trip on the afternoon of Thursday, July 27 will be to the beautiful Enchanted Forest Sanctuary in Titusville, Florida. Tickets are only $20 each and include transportation and a boxed lunch! Only 40 tickets are available for this unique opportunity.
If you do not want to pay for your extra banquet or field trip ticket(s) using a credit card, please select the number of tickets you want and then choose your preferred method of offline payment. If you are paying for your extra banquet or field trip ticket(s) separately from your registration fee, please fill out separate online forms for your registration fee and ticket(s).

The Garnas lab (http://colsa.unh.edu/faculty/garnas) seeks a highly motivated graduate student (MSc or PhD) to begin in Fall 2017. The topic of the successful student’s research is flexible but will fall broadly within the current themes of the lab, namely the ecology and evolution of insects and/or fungi within forested systems, particularly in the context of biological invasion. We use a variety of approaches including field and lab experiments, genetic tools including NextGen technologies, and modeling to address questions relevant to forest dynamics and forest pestilence. Creative, dynamic students with broad interests in ecology and evolution are encouraged to apply. Position will be funded by a Teaching Assistantship for a minimum of 1-2 years, with a Research Assistantship providing the balance.
The University of New Hampshire and the Department of Natural Resources and the Environment are home to a vibrant community of productive researchers with a strong commitment to student success (see http://www.unh.edu/unhtoday/2017/03/excellence-ecology for recent accolades). Located in the town of Durham, UNH is a beautiful campus surrounded by forest and natural landscapes. Only 30 minutes from the sea and less than 2 hours from the White Mountains, outdoor and other recreational activities abound, including right on campus.
Interested applicants, please send:
- a CV
- a brief summary of research interests, highlighting any relevant experience
- contact information for three references
as a SINGLE pdf file to foresthealth.gradposition(a)unh.edu<mailto:foresthealth.gradposition@unh.edu>. Position will be open until filled.
