UNCLASSIFIED - NON CLASSIFIÉ Dear All, Join the global forest health research community in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, from August 9-13, 2027, for the IUFRO conference hosted by Division 7 - Forest Health under the theme "Global Partnerships and Sustainability." We welcome the participation of units from other IUFRO Divisions to encourage cross-disciplinary collaboration under the conference theme. This international conference will bring together researchers from around the world who are dedicated to advancing the understanding and stewardship of healthy forest ecosystems. Participants will have the opportunity to showcase their research, exchange ideas, and build meaningful collaborations across all IUFRO divisions. We especially emphasize the importance of global and community partnerships in advancing sustainable forest management, and invite all perspectives, including Indigenous knowledge systems and research approaches. With a strong focus on forest health, the conference will feature sessions on forest insects and pathogens, invasive species, pest management, and forest damage assessment. Researchers working in complementary fields, including silviculture, forest genetics, and biodiversity, are warmly invited to contribute to this dynamic and interdisciplinary scientific program. In line with the conference theme, contributions that explore sustainability through cross-disciplinary collaboration are welcome. We hope that you are able to join us in Edmonton in 2027. Southern Forest Health Work Conference, 4-6 August 2026, Jekyll Island, Georgia USA

The 65th annual Southern Forest Health Work Conference (SFHWC) will be held 4-6 August 2026 (Tuesday - Thursday) on beautiful Jekyll Island, Georgia USA! We have chosen the Jekyll Island Club Resort for our meeting. Although meeting registration is not yet open, I encourage you to make your hotel reservation as soon as possible. We have a block of 50 rooms (Monday night), 70 rooms (Tuesday and Wednesday nights), and 60 rooms (Thursday night) set aside for the group until July 13, 2026, so make your reservations by this date. Don't miss out on the special pricing! IMPORTANT: The entire meeting will be held on Tuesday-Thursday, making Monday and Friday travel days. The opening business meeting and plenary session will begin after lunch on Tuesday. A full day of concurrent sessions, the closing business meeting, and awards banquet are scheduled for Thursday. Depending on your travel plans, you may want to reserve a room for Monday night even if you haven't needed to do this for past meetings. Permanent position for a young scientist in forest entomology at INRAE (France) in early 2026
