A faculty position is available in the Forestry and Agricultural Biotechnology Institute (
www.fabinet.up.ac.za ) at the University of Pretoria in South Africa.
The incumbent will be responsible for undertaking goal-directed research in Entomology and
Ecology as part of a team focused on tree health, as well as participate in postgraduate
supervision and undergraduate teaching in these fields. Research experience with
mathematical or statistical skills linked to ecological theory or modeling of biological
systems will be especially valuable. The incumbent will work in a world leading research
team and institute and contribute to its engagement with a broad range of stake holders,
including international collaborators, local government and industry, as well as funding
organisations.
