Dear friends and colleagues,
(Div. 7 list servers and presenters in Div. 7 (Forest Health) sessions at the upcoming
IUFRO 125th Anniversary Congress)
Social evening on 18 Sept.
Thanks very much to all those who already replied previously. We can confirm that this
will go ahead on Monday, 18 Sept. 2017, starting from about 7:30 or 8:00 pm / 19:30 or
20:00 hrs.
There will be a change to a nicer venue. This is in a suburb of Freiburg that can be
reached easily by tram (a 10-minute tram ride, with a tram leaving every 10 minutes; more
details to come in the next few days).
This promises to be a very nice opportunity to socialise in the beer garden outdoors or in
the hall inside (depending on the weather). There will be local beers and other drinks
available, including non-alcoholic drinks, as well as dinner, including several affordable
options. Dr Horst Delb, a local forest entomologist, is kindly helping organise this.
Please note, this is not restricted to presenters; anyone interested in the Forest Health
Division and their partners and friends can come along.
Important: We need to confirm the approximate number of participants. If you would like to
join us, or if you have any questions about this, please email me

Div. 7, Forest Health, business meeting of on 19 Sept.
This meeting will be of interest to anyone who would like to know a little more about
IUFRO, the Forest Health groups and their activities, upcoming conferences, opportunities
to discuss relevant topics, become involved, etc. Attendance of this is not limited to
office holders and, in fact, everyone is welcome to come along.
This is scheduled for Tuesday, 19 Sept. 2017, from 8 pm / 20:00 hrs in Room KG I - 1199 at
the University of Freiburg. It is listed in the congress programme. Please mark this in
your diaries.
Please send me an email if you have any questions or suggestions (which we welcome).
We look forward to seeing you soon at the congress!
Kind regards,
Ecki Brockerhoff
