It's time to register for the 51st annual Southern Forest Insect Work Conference, 4-7 August 2008, Chattanooga Marriot at the Convention Center, in Chattanooga, Tennessee USA! The 2008 SFIWC registration form and preliminary program are now available at http://www.sfiwc.org//2008/index.html. The registration fee is $180 ($110 for students and retired members). Extra banquet tickets are $34. This year's banquet will be a dinner cruise on the Tennessee River, featuring a prime rib/shrimp creole buffet and cash bar. Vegetarian plates also are available; please be sure to mark your preference on the registration form. The banquet will be held on the boat's second deck, which does not have elevator access. If you or a guest will need assistance on the stairs (e.g., a wheelchair), please include a note with your registration form. It is VERY IMPORTANT that we have an accurate head count for the dinner cruise. Payment in full is due to the cruise company 10 days prior to the banquet. I STRONGLY ENCOURAGE everyone to send in their registration forms and fees before the meeting if possible.
