Hello Forpathers and Forenters,
This is addressed to US-based scientists and others (including managers) interested in
tree resistance to pathogens and insects as a tool to manage invasions. If you are not
one of these people, please free to discard the message! Also, I apologize for the
multiple messages if you are on both lists.
Caterina Villari (D.B. Warnell School of Forestry & Natural Resources, University of
Georgia) and I have prepared a document in response to a USDA NIFA request called “NIFA
Listens: Investing in Science to Transform Lives.” (Please see attached.) Our document
is also attached.
Caterina and I would like to know if anyone in the US interested in tree resistance is
also interested in co-signing the document. Unfortunately we do not have time to edit or
consider even minor changes, because the document is due into NIFA by the end of tomorrow,
Dec. 1, 2017. If you are interested in co-signing the document AS IS, please send your
name and affiliation to Caterina cvillari@uga.edu<mailto:cvillari@uga.edu>.
Thank you all for your consideration of this request!
Enrico
