The 55th annual Southern Forest Insect Work Conference will be held 23-26 July 2013
(Tuesday - Friday) in New Orleans, Louisiana USA.
We have chosen the JW Marriott New Orleans as our meeting hotel. Although meeting
registration is not yet open, I encourage you to make your hotel reservation as soon as
possible. We have a block of 80 rooms set aside for the group until June 28, so make your

IMPORTANT PROGRAM INFORMATION!!! This year's Program Chairs, Steve Clarke
(sclarke@fs.fed.us<mailto:sclarke@fs.fed.us>) and Kelly Oten
(kelly.oten@ncagr.gov<mailto:kelly.oten@ncagr.gov>), are calling for program topics
and volunteers to moderate sessions. Preference will be given to topics not covered in
the past 2-3 SFIWC meetings. The number of sessions will depend on meeting room
availability and the number of volunteer moderators. Please contact Steve or Kelly with
any suggestions or questions.
