The BC Public Service is seeking a Regional Forest Pathologist. As the Regional Forest Pathologist, you will serve as the regional expert and representative providing professional and scientific information and technical advice related to detection, identification, assessment and treatment of forest pathogens. Your responsibilities will include assessing forest disease problems and opportunities, development and implementation of applied research, control projects, and extension services. You will also participate in the development and review of operational and strategic plans, legislation, policy, standards, and management practices that address key pathology issues, with the goal of minimizing or mitigating economic and environmental impacts.
