Dear colleagues,
As scientific officer of the EGU (European Geosciences Union,
www.egu.eu<http://www.egu.eu>) division ERE (Energy, Resources and the
Environment), I am responsible for the development of the focus area "aboveground
processes" within our division and coordinating the program for the annual general
assembly. I would like to invite you and your colleagues to (co)organize a session on
forest bioenergy (potentials, challenges, ramifications, context with land-use...). For
your orientation, the program of our last meeting is available here:
http://meetings.copernicus.org/egu2011/EGU2011_programmegroup_programme_ERE…. As one
can observe, biomass (in general) is not represented well and hence we seek for additional
contributions to cover this field. Since our IUFRO division certainly has the capacity to
organize such sessions I am confident that there would be someone who can take this over.
Please also forward this invitation to your colleagues. I am available for any questions
and would like to point out that the abstract for a session should be submitted by end of
June.
I am looking forward to hear from you,
Best Regards,
Viktor Bruckman
