Dear Collegues,
This is second call for IUFRO 7.01.08 Conference titled "Forest-Water Interactions with Respect to Air Pollution and Climate Change". The conference will take place in Kahramanmaras, the historical and cultural center of Turkey. The venue is in Kahramanmaras University and the conference will be between 3-6 of September 2012. The deadline of abstract submission has been 14th of April. Please send your abstracts to serengil(a)istanbul.edu.tr with a cc to ibrahimy(a)istanbul.edu.tr
Conference topics are;

b.. Air pollution and forest hydrology
c.. Hydroecology of stream corridors

e.. Riparian ecosystems and their restoration
f.. Landscape Ecology and Planning
g.. Adaptation to climate change with focus on Mediterranean ecosystems
h.. Urbanization as a stressor for forests
i.. Water stress in terrestrial ecosystems
j.. Erosion and sedimentation in relation with climate change
k.. Desertification and its consequences
l.. Water quality, quantity and regime
m.. Ecophysiology
The conference field trip will be to Nemrut Mountain and Ataturk dam to see beautiful forests of the south . The conference fee of 120 Euros will cover field trip. There is also going to be 2 post conference trips; one to Mediterranean coast and one to historical sites of Mardin.
