we would like to inform you that we are organizing the conference Tree
Rings in Archaeology, Climatology and Ecology (TRACE) 2013 in Viterbo,
Italy, 8-11 May 2013.
TRACE 2013, organized in conjunction with the Association for Tree-ring
Research (ATR, www.tree-ring.org) seeks to strengthen the network and
scientific exchange of scientists and students involved in the study of
tree-rings. It aims at presenting and discussing new discoveries and
approaches in the wide field of tree-ring science. The scope of the
meeting includes all fields of dendrochronology, such as tree-rings in
archaeology, climate, geomorphology, glaciology, fire history, forest
dynamics, hydrology, physiology, and stable isotopes.
The deadline for abstract submission is 24 March 2013.

1stFOREBIOM Biochar Workshop to be held in Vienna(4th-5th of April) is open!
Itis organized back-to-back with the European Geosciences Union General Assembly (7th - 12. April2013 in Vienna) aims at gathering the ongoing research on biocharfor energy and as soil amendment to improve the soil properties and highlightsthe need for further research in this field. Current research is presented byinternationally recognized researchers from leading institutions.
