This is to inform you that IUFRO Unit 4.02.01 – “Resource Data in the Tropics” is organizing a scientific session No. C-09, during the XXIII IUFRO World Congress, to take place in Seoul, Republic of Korea, from 23 to 28 August 2010.
This scientific session is organized under the theme “Economic Valuation of Forest Environment Services”.
You are kindly invited to submit to submit your abstract (s) to be considered as potential Speaker / Poster Presenter, in this Session. To do it, you have only 15 days left to submit your abstract. Please hurry up to submit your abstract!
You will find, attached, a Call for Abstracts, with the main ojectives, the covered topics, and the format of the scientific Session C-09.

Attached: Call for Abstracts
A graduate research assistantship is available to support a student pursuing
an MS or PhD degree with my program through the Department of Forest and
Wildlife Ecology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. A generous
stipend, medical benefits, and tuition waiver are included. Only candidates
with a strong background in plant and forest sciences, as well as plant
pathology and mycology, are encouraged to apply. Excellent abilities in
spoken and written English are required. Support can begin in fall semester
2010.
Work may involve aspects of the ecology and epidemiology of Diplodia
pathogens of pines, including soil/site and tree physiological influences on
disease development, or investigation of root diseases of economically
important forest trees.
