Hello All,
You are invited to submit papers for presentation and/or posters for display
at the upcoming 31st Annual Council on Forest Engineering Meeting in
Charleston, South Carolina, USA; June 22-25, 2008. The meeting theme is
"Addressing Forest Engineering Challenges of the Future." Contributions are
invited that address forest engineering challenges and innovative solutions
globally. The meeting will be co-hosted by Clemson University and the
University of Georgia.
The deadline for abstract submission has been extended to January 31, 2008.
Reports on completed studies as well as research in progress are welcomed.
Abstract submissions will be reviewed and notification of acceptance will be
confirmed by February 15, 2008. Contributors whose abstract submissions are
not selected as paper presentations will be invited to prepare posters for
display. Submissions addressing the following topics will be given
priority; however, other relevant forest engineering topics will be
considered:
Biomass/Bioenergy
Wildfire Hazard/Forest Fuel Reduction
Global Industry Structure
Wood Supply Chain Efficiency
Value Recovery
Reduced Site Impacts
Environmental Regulation Compliance
Wildland/Urban Interface
Forest Roads and Transportation
Submissions must include a presentation/poster title, brief abstract (<250
words), and author name(s) along with contact information. Abstracts must
be submitted electronically in Microsoft Word format (.doc) to Dale Greene
