Forest engineering is a relatively small, well-focused, applied discipline within forestry. It has a long history of providing information to industry, academics, researchers, and others through publication of several well-established scientific journals. As current and immediate past Editors for the International Journal of Forest Engineering, we will present a session during the IUFRO 125th Anniversary Congress later this year which focuses on challenges faced by a small well-established journal such as ours.
