Euphresco PREPSYS project conference on emerald ash borer and bronze birch borer sponsored by OECD and Defra (UK), Vienna 1-4 October. FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT

Dear Colleagues, SAVE THE DATE!! 1-4 OCTOBER 2018 IN VIENNA, AUSTRIA CONFERENCE: Preparing Europe for invasion by the beetles emerald ash borer and bronze birch borer, two major tree-killing pests As part of our Euphresco project on emerald ash borer and bronze birch borer (PREPSYS - www.forestry.gov.uk/fr/prepsys<http://www.forestry.gov.uk/fr/prepsys>,) we have organised a conference on how Europe can prepare for potential invasion by the beetles. The conference will be held at BFW, Vienna from 1-4 October 2018. Details are in the attached announcement. The conference is sponsored by OECD Cooperative Research Programme and by the UK Government Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (Defra). Apart from an outstanding list of invited keynote speakers, there are a limited number of oral presentation slots, as well as a poster paper session. The Proceedings will be published in a special issue of the journal Forestry. We hope that you can make the meeting and we look forward to seeing you in Vienna in October.
