-----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- Von: SASE H Betreff: 1st Announcement of ACID RAIN 2020 Dear colleagues in Division 8 I am pleased to inform you that the 10th International Conference on Acid Deposition, ACID RAIN 2020, will be held in Niigata, Japan, from 19 to 23 October 2020. On behalf of the Scientific Steering Committee and the International Scientific Advisory Committee for Acid Rain 2020, I send you herein the first circular of the conference. Please find the file attached. The conference webpage is already open at: https://www.acidrain2020.org As you can see on the conference webpage above, IUFRO is listed as one of the co-organizers of the conference. Many of colleagues from RG 7.01.00 are involved in the preparation of the conference. The conference is entitled “ACID RAIN 2020: The Future Environment and Role of Multiple Air Pollutants”, which covers issues not only specific to acid rain but also a wide range of scientific topics relating to various air pollutants, including ozone, particulate matters, etc. Relationship between air pollution and climate change is also within the scope. Therefore, direct/indirect effects of various environmental factors on forest ecosystems will be discussed in the conference.
