Dear colleagues of Division 8,
I hope you and your family are fine even in the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Actually, in Japan, the situation is very uncertain, especially in Tokyo
and Osaka.
As for the captioned matter, it was decided that the ACID RAIN 2020
conference would be postponed to late 2021 or early 2022. Although the
actual new date is still under discussion, we have just updated HP to
inform potential participants of the current situation.

The name of the conference "ACID RAIN 2020" will not be changed to
utilize the materials prepared so far (such as logo, HP, registration
system, etc.).
I will inform you when the new date is decided.

New subject: New date of ACID RAIN 2020
Dear Colleagues in Division 8,
I hope that you, your family/relatives, and your colleagues are still
healthy during the COVID-19 Pandemic. In Japan, actually, the situation
is very uncertain, not so good. However, we are still alive and
considering the future.
As for the captioned matter, finally the new date and related schedule
have been decided:
New date: March 1 to 4, Tuesday to Friday, 2022
Key dates:
Abstract submission open/Registration open: 1 May 2021
Accommodation reservation open: Summer 2021
Abstract submission close: 31 August 2021
Early bird registration close: 30 September 2021
Online registration close: 31 January 2022
The conference website will be updated soon (with the same URL:
https://www.acidrain2020.org) I have already asked Brigitte to update
the information on the relevant IUFRO pages.
I would appreciate it if you inform your colleagues about the new date.
