Webinar 6: "Forests and forest products: the use of native species and the role of sociobiobiversity in Latin America", August 23, 3pm CEST, 10am Brasilia, 8am Colombia Dear colleagues, We are glad to announce that the sixth webinar of the IUFRO Landscape Ecology WP Webinar Series - Emerging issues in landscape ecology will take place on August 23 and it will be dedicated to the topic "Forests and forest products: the use of native species and the role of sociobiobiversity in Latin America". ​Guests Juana Palma (Chile), Rene Camacho (Colombia) and Henrique Pereira (Brazil), and host Sónia Carvalho Ribeiro (co-coordinator of the IUFRO LE WP for Latin America), will discuss the role of forests and forest products, particularly non-timber forest products (NTFP) and the use of biodiversity in traditional livelihoods and the economy. They will also present case studies and address issues related to data available for assessing NTFPs role and to policy, as well as other topics of interest for both Latin America and international audiences.
