The Department of Forest Resources Management in the Faculty of Forestry at the University
of British Columbia (UBC), Vancouver, Canada seeks a tenure-track or tenured position at
the Assistant or Associate Professor level in outdoor recreation and tourism. The
successful applicant is expected to play a key role in undergraduate teaching in
recreation planning and management, the social and cultural values of nature, and related
aspects of urban forestry, as well as supervising graduate students and conducting
research in the recreation field. Candidates for this position must have a Ph.D. in
outdoor recreation or a related field. Preference will be given to candidates with a
demonstrated track record in teaching and research related to outdoor recreation planning,
modelling, management, tourism, and/or the socio-cultural dimensions of recreation.
