* We are currently hosting an Editorial Team of 10 highly motivated and skilled Associate as well as Senior Editors. Our Editorial Advisory Board received some new members (details see https://www.journals.elsevier.com/forest-policy-and-economics/editorial-boa… ).
* The 2019 Impact Factor was just announced being 3.139
* FP&E has been included in two new categories, hence ranking:
* 6 of 68 in the category Forestry
* 39 of 123 in Environmental Studies
* 56 of 371 in Economics.
* The similar 2019 CiteScore is 5.7 (for detailed metrics see https://journalinsights.elsevier.com/journals/1389-9341 ).
* In 2020 we received some 360 submissions to date.
* Under our new, peer-reviewed & citable article category of Commentaries we are welcoming short (up to ca. 3000 words) pieces as either Research Trends, Science Critiques, or more practical Policy Forum articles (for details see our full aims&scope https://www.journals.elsevier.com/forest-policy-and-economics ).

The Sino-European H2020 CLEARING HOUSE project<http://www.clearinghouseproject.eu/> which uses urban trees and forests as a means to improve living in cities in both Europe and China, opened a new stream of research & communication on urban forest and green-spaces during the Covid-19 pandemic. This communication stream consists of a blog series<http://clearinghouseproject.eu/category/blog/>, a survey<https://vub.fra1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_5bSsVfI1g1VgI7j> and short expert interviews.

Dear IUFRO colleagues,
Please find attached and under the below link an eye-opening new article on “Non-wood forest products in Europe – A quantitative overview”, estimating the annual NWFPs value in Europe – excluding hunting and game - to amount to 71% of the roundwood production!
Mushrooms, berries and other non-wood forest products are widely collected across Europe. However, there is no data that provides overview of that activity on international level. We remedy this shortcoming with a survey conducted in 28 countries. Results show that 26% of European households collect them, that value of NWFPs collected each year amounts to 71% of the value of annual roundwood production, and that they produce value of 20.5 € per hectare of forest and other wooded land per year.
