2020 COFE-FORMEC Joint Meeting (September 27-30, 2020)
Website: https://cofe-formec2020.org/
The 43rd annual meeting of the Council on Forest Engineering (COFE) and the 53rd annual meeting of the International Symposium on Forest Mechanization (FORMEC) will meet jointly this year in Corvallis, Oregon, USA. This event will be the second of two consecutive annual joint meetings between COFE and FORMEC. The event theme, 'Forest Engineering Family - Growing Forward from Our Roots', will guide us in building One Big Family of Forest Engineering across continents and sectors. Together, we will learn from the legacy of previous generations, tackle present forest engineering challenges, map our future, and empower our next generations.
2nd IUFRO Division 3 Doctoral Student Conference (September 22-30, 2020) - Only for PhD students
Website: https://cofe-formec2020.org/conference-information
IUFRO Division 3 and Oregon State University will again host a Doctoral Student Conference in Corvallis, Oregon, USA. Encouraged by the grand success of the First IUFRO Division 3 Doctoral Student Conference in 2016, the host team again aims to foster networking and a strong global community of future research scientists in the fields of Forest Operations and Engineering. The Conference will be student-oriented and provide a platform for attendees to present their research. Registration includes participation in the COFE-FORMEC Joint Annual Meeting, September 27-30, where student attendees can present their study in a lightning talk and poster. Conference attendees will have many opportunities to network, share insights, advance their knowledge, and make new friends. Designed for youthful and energetic future research scientists, the conference will offer many socializing events. Guided field trips will also be offered to visit coastal and central Oregon, and OSU's Research Forest.
Best regards,
Woodam Chung
