Subject: Season greetings and announcement
Dear colleagues,
lights are shining, snow is sparkling (at least somewhere, I hope) so let me wish you all Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2015!
I would like to use this occasion and announce to all of you that at the beginning of the next year I am due to take over the position of the coordinator of our IUFRO 9.06.00 Forest Law and Environmental Legislation unit from our colleague and friend Peter Herbst. I would like to thank him for all he has done in favour of our mutual cooperation and to express our deepest appreciation for his efforts. I will try to do my best in order to be as much perfect as he has been and still is.
Also, talking about our cooperation and future plans, I would like to announce that we (professor Ioan Abrudan – rector of the Transylvanian University in Brasov, Peter as an upcoming deputy coordinator of our research group and me) have already started to plan and prepare our 16th International Symposium on Legal Aspects of European Forest Sustainable Development that shall be jointly organized by our Romanian and Moldavian colleagues and that will be held in May 19 – 23, 2015 in Brasov. The official First Announcement for this event together with the registration form will be distributed to you and other potential participants at the beginning of January 2015.
One more time, let me wish you all the best!
Best regards,
Rastislav Sulek
