Dear colleagues of Division 9,
you already received the invitation to submit proposals for the 125
anniversary conference of IUFRO to be held in Freiburg 2017.
As announced earlier, our all Division 9 meeting will take place in the
framework of this conference. Our meeting will comprise a sub-plenary
session, a Division 9 working meeting (to discuss as well organizational
issues) and hopefully many sessions organized and supported by you as
Division 9 office holders and members. We are also about to plan a
summer school for PhD students back to back with the meeting. It is an
unique opportunity that we can have our own meeting within this
conference, allowing us strengthening the collaboration between the
different groups in Division 9 but as well with groups from the other
Divisions. Please make use of this great opportunity, so that we all can
all see us in Freiburg next year, exchanging up to date results and
ideas on social scientific forest issues.
When proposing a session (using the following link:
http://iufro2017.com/submission-of-session-proposals/ ) please
indicate at the end of the format that this is part of the Division 9
meeting. These sessions are of course open to all participants of the
conference.
Please spread this news as well to all members of your research and
working groups.
Let me know if I can be of any help in regard to sessions proposals.
With best regards
Daniela
P.S. My greatest thanks to those of you who support the IUFRO Asia
regional conference with sessions - Division 9 will do a great job there!
P.S. Please remember as well the opportunity to meet at the
conference„Forest-related policy and governance: Analyses in the
environmental social sciences" at Bogor University / Indonesia from
October 4-7 2016.**
