Betreff: Call for papers: Environmental Research - Special Issue of Environmental Research
on Nature-Based Solutions (NBS)
Dear Colleagues,
Official approval has been granted by the Elsevier journal Environmental Research
(
http://www.journals.elsevier.com/environmental-research) to publish a Special Issue on
the topic: Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) for Resilient Landscapes and Cities: Innovative
Strategies and Scientific Advances (guest-editors: Raffaele Lafortezza, Jiquan Chen,
Cecil Konijnendijk van den Bosch and Thomas B. Randrup).
This Special Issue will feature original research, reviews, and synthesis studies. These
manuscripts will contribute to the Special Issue by illustrating general theories and
methods, generating and analyzing natural and social datasets, developing integrated
modeling techniques, and presenting state-of-the-art research results. We believe that
this focus issue will play a pivotal role in deepening our understanding of current
knowledge, research gaps, and future research needs for nature-based solutions in response
to global change. Three main topic areas of Environmental Research will be addressed by
this SI, including:
- Global warming/climate change
- Air, soil, and water pollutants and health
- Risk analysis, risk assessment and risk management, and public health
The manuscript submission deadline is September 30, 2016. A guest editorial committee will
work with the ER handling editors on the review process. Please refer to the attached PDF
document for more information about the Special Issue aims and timeline.
For those who would like to contribute, please express your interest to submit paper(s) to
the Special Issue by using the attached DOC form no later than April 30, 2016. Please send
