Two calls for local authorities / get support for your urban forests as nature-based solutions - CLEARING HOUSE knowledge exchange

Dear all the CLEARNG HOUSE project (www.clearinghouseproject.eu) has launched two calls for local authorities that want to take advantage of the knowledge gathered in the project. A first call is for cities that want to participate in a city tandem, and will learn from peer cities on how to implement urban forests as nature-based solutions. The second call is for cities that want to be visited by a task force including CLEARING HOUSE experts. During the task force, a quick scan of societal challenges will be made, and the experts will formulate an action plan for implementing urban forests as nature-based solutions. About the City Tandem exchange mechanism The global objective of the City Tandem is to promote capacity development and exchange of knowledge and practices on urban forests as nature-based solutions (UF-NBS), based on peer-to-peer exchanges. It aims to foster international links at the local level, enabling local leaders to gain new perspectives on UF-NBS. Local authorities (cities, metropolises or regions) wishing to exchange with another local administration facing similar challenges on planning and managing urban forests are encouraged to apply. EFUF emphasises the connection of practice and scientific knowledge, encouraging a variety of possible formats to contribute to the conference. The theme for this year's forum is **Adaptive measures in urban forests** The call for abstracts is currently open, until the **1st of February**. We are accepting contributions related to three themes 1. Adaptive ecological measures in urban forests 2. Socio-environmental-economic measures in urban forests 3. Planning and governance measures in urban forests We invite urban forest practitioners, policy makers, researchers and managers to submit abstracts for the Forum. EFUF emphasises the connection of practice and scientific knowledge, encouraging a variety of possible formats to contribute to the conference. We accept proposals for oral presentations, poster presentations and non-commercial demonstrations.
