Beschreibung: Beschreibung: http://www.fao.org/forestry/41787-0b378595eabe486d94c764f537d032511.jpg Dear colleagues, Registration is open for the FAO-run online conference ‘The Economics of Climate Change Mitigation Options in the Forestry Sector’, which will take place as six sessions during 6-27 February 2015. A hundred free places are available in each online session. Forestry policy makers, forest economists, scientists and researchers from all over the world are expected to join this conference to discuss the costs and benefits of different mitigation options. The conference will examine how different countries and regions mitigate climate change through forest management interventions and improved use of wood. Discussions will also showcase lessons learned from mitigation efforts and their impacts on the value chain of forest products. The deadline for case study submission is 10 November 2014 and for registration is 16 January 2015.
