Dear colleagues,
recently Forest Policy and Economics has further improved its editorial
standards.
Updated aims & scope - all social sciences on forests
Forest Policy and Economics (Elsevier) has grown into a well-established and
recognized academic journal, which publishes peer-reviewed political and
economic research relating to forests and forest-related industries, which
are of a high scientific standard. It also welcomes contributions from other
social science and humanities perspectives, which make a clear
theoretical/conceptual and methodological contribution to existing
international literatures. These may include, but are not limited to,
planning, sociology, anthropology, history, jurisprudence, and psychology
research on forests.
The journal invites high quality, original submissions of research and review
manuscripts from around the globe as well as proposals for special issues,
which resulted from intense previous scientific exchange. Acceptance for
publication is subject to a double-blind refereeing process.

Enlarged team of editors - international coverage of economic and political
research
The growing attention to social science forest research around the globe
resulted in a steadily growing number of submissions to Forest Policy and
Economics. As a consequence, the team of editors has recently been enlarged.

Improved reviewing standards - double blind
In order to further improve the quality of its peer-review Forest Policy and
Economics recently adopted a double-blind review policy. This improves both,
the quality as well as the legitimacy of the journal's peer-review process.
