Hello,
I hope this finds you well and enjoying the holiday season. Our working party has been active this year with a strong presence at the 2019 IUFRO World Congress where we helped support plenary, technical, and poster sessions and a side event of forest landscape restoration. You can find the technical presentations on this Google Drive<https://gcc02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fdrive.goo…>. The events were all well attended with much discussion. Those of us fortunate to attend the World Congress in Curitiba, Brazil, enjoyed the opportunity to learn from one another and create and strengthen networks.
After serving 9 years as the working party coordinator, it is time for me to step down. The attached activity report describes our work together this past decade. I have very much enjoyed helping with these activities and especially meeting many of you and sharing experiences across the globe.
I am happy to announce that Ewa Hermanowicz, Communication Officer with the European Forest Genetic Resource Programme, will be the new coordinator for the Communications and Public Relations Working Party. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that will serve the working party well. I look forward to Ewa leading the working party toward a bright future of innovation and networking.
Happy holidays and best wishes for 2020!
