Dear Colleagues, As a token of gratitude to all the great people I have met along my career path (including many great people in IUFRO) I have always wanted to write a book on academic mentoring, since I have benefitted from mentoring so much myself when I was an early-career researcher. This is my humble way of paying back for what the people I met have given me and passing on the blessings to others. The book has specifically been written from the perspective of someone who has worked in academia in different countries.
