Dear Colleagues,
As a token of gratitude to all the great people I have met along my career path (including many great people in IUFRO) I have always wanted to write a book on academic mentoring, since I have
benefitted from mentoring so much myself when I was an early-career researcher. This is my humble way of paying back for what the people I met have given me and passing on the blessings to others. The book has specifically been written from the perspective
of someone who has worked in academia in different countries. First and foremost the ideas in the text are food for thought to empower others to make their own decisions.
