Dear Oak Managers and Scientists,
Now is the time to register for the International Oak
Symposium<https://naturalresources.tennessee.edu/oak-symposium/>! Please visit the
website and click on the Registration tab to register for this four-day Symposium. An
Agenda 'at-a-glance' has been posted that provides dates and times for the 12
Concurrent Sessions, 13 Plenary Speakers, and 3 Field Tours. Registration will be limited,
so please register early. A student discount is offered to contribute towards our goal of
professional development. Check out our promo
video<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dt7tH3q3-EQ> with some of the plenary speakers
and topics.
There are only a few rooms left at the Symposium hotel, the Hilton
Knoxville<https://www.hilton.com/en/hotels/knxkhhf-hilton-knoxville/> (501 W Church
Ave, Knoxville, TN 37902, USA, in the heart of downtown). The hotel prefers for you to use
a direct online link to reserve your
room<https://www.hilton.com/en/book/reservation/deeplink/?ctyhocn=KNXKHH….
If you need to call to make the reservation, please call 1 (800) 774-1500 and use the
group name 'Oak 24.' We will examine the need for adding additional rooms at an
alternate hotel if we receive enough demand. Please let Stacy
Clark<mailto:stacy.l.clark@usda.gov> know if you are unable to book your room at the
Hilton.
The University of Tennessee's School of Natural Resources is proud to host this event
and are seeking sponsors to help defray costs for students and provide a unique experience
for attendees, including field tours, panel discussions, refreshment breaks, and socials.
