Dear IUFRO Meliaceae Working Party: The Forest Department of Jamaica is working to invigorate the island wood industry using high value species, including *Swietenia mahagoni (*small leaf/Dominican/Jamaican mahogany), which is native to the island. Information is needed on growth rates of *S. mahagoni* for long-range planning.
