Dear Division 4 members, We wanted to update you on the Division 4 Conference in Göttingen, Germany 24-27 May 2027. The website (tiny.utk.edu/IUFRO-Div4-Conference<https://tiny.utk.edu/IUFRO-Div4-Confe…) contains the new information but we wanted to highlight the most significant updates. 1. Workshops: two workshops have been scheduled and are described on the website. Details of the third workshop will be added shortly. All workshops will take place on Monday afternoon, 24 June. 2. Abstract proposals: the deadline for abstract submission is 1 October 2026. There is a link on the website to the abstract submission site. We have changed the submission form to include specific sessions for abstracts, if appropriate. You do NOT need to select a specific session, however, unless an organizer has requested that you submit to their session. The Conference Scientific Committee will group those abstracts not submitted for specific sessions into appropriate themes. 3. Sessions: We have a very short deadline (5 September) for any additional session proposals. If you are interested in proposing a specific session title, please email Bogdan (bogdan.strimbu@oregonstate.edu<mailto:bogdan.strimbu@oregonstate.edu>) and include 1) session title, 2) session organizer(s) contact information, 3) short (2-3 sentence) description of the session content, and 4) proposed speakers for the session. Please note that additional speakers may be added to your session if closely related.
