We have by now organized a diverse range of special sessions which can be seen here (https://www.forestsat2022.com/special-sessions-2/<https://list-manage.us…) Thanks to all our great colleagues who came forward with suggestions and offered their support with organizing the sessions. If you want to contribute to one of these sessions, you will have an option to assign your abstract to a session while uploading. We are furthermore very happy to announce our first keynote speaker Nicholas Coops who will give a presentation on near real time forest inventory using satellite and laser scanning data. Since the deadline for abstract submission is coming closer quickly, we would now like to announce the 2nd Call for Abstracts and invite all of you to submit abstracts for poster and oral presentations for ForestSAT 2022. The final deadline for submitting abstracts is 31st of May. Please be aware that we will have no options to extend the deadline due to the extremely tight schedule. We hence really ask all of you to submit your abstract before the deadline. We know that this is may cause a bit of time pressure, but we are confident that you can all find a time window to prepare an abstract and submit in time and that we can welcome you in Berlin at the end of August.
