Topics to be covered will include: regeneration methods; intermediate treatments and thinning; conversion methods (including coppice to high forests and vice-versa); silvicultural recovery of abandoned mixed stands and of mixed stands from recent natural colonization of former agricultural fields; challenges for mixed tree species silviculture to enhance wood and non-wood productions, biodiversity conservation, ecosystem services; challenges for mixed tree species silviculture under global changes and landscape management. Both presentations synthesizing information at the European scale and presentations focusing on more local studies are invited.
