Dear Division IV members
As mentioned in a previous email, Division IV is following a procedure to
find a candidate for Division coordinator with a large support from the
Division. According to the procedure that I presented to you some days ago,
we have now finished our 1st step: selecting possible candidates. I am
pleased to announce you that we were able to find 3 very good candidates:

(Australia). I think that everyone in Division IV knows them!
It is now time to vote. Please give your vote by sending an email with the
name of the candidate you prefer to magatome(a)isa.utl.pt before January 25.
Candidates:
Hubert Hasenauer

Dear Colleagues
It is time to think about nominating candidates for IUFRO Board Membership,
namely we need to find a new Division IV coordinator. As you must know I
have been serving as Division IV coordinator for the last 2 terms, therefore
I cannot go on in this position. According to IUFRO's statutes, any
individual member of the Union (individuals belonging to a Member
Organization and Associate Members) may make nominations of potential
candidates. However it has been a practice in Division IV that we elect and
propose a candidate with the support of the Division. We must appoint the
candidates by January 31st. In order to cope with this deadline, I discussed
with Division IV Deputy coordinators and Research Units coordinators and
came out with the following proposal:
- By January 11st, we find some possible candidates (maybe 4-5??)
that accept the possibility of being elected and that have the support of
their institutions.
- We conduct a voting through email during the period January 12 to
January 20, so that we have a complete Division IV proposal by January 31st.
We are now on the way to search for potential candidates and I ask you to
make your own proposals (dont forget that the candidates must have the
support from their institutions).
Best regards,
Margarida
