Dear IUFRO Division 2 and 2.09.02 Members,
We would like to kindly remind you of our 6th IUFRO 2.09.02 conference, which will be hosted by Scion in Rotorua, New Zealand, from 3 to 8 March 2024. Dr. Jana Krajňáková and Dr. Henri Baillères as well as their Scion teams are preparing a great scientific and social programme for us!
“The might of vegetative propagation for healthy and productive forests to face climate challenges"
After some difficult years, Rotorua 2024 is a new IUFRO 2.09.02 opportunity to share your research on vegetative propagation of trees and other woody plants as a primary strategy or in synergy with seed technologies to cope with climate change.
For more information, please review our preliminary announcement and related information (including a short article) currently posted on the dedicated <https://www.iufro.org/science/divisions/division-2/20000/20900/20902/activi…> IUFRO 2.09.02 webpage.
The conference website will be launched in September. Get prepared to register as early birds and submit your abstract(s)!
If not already done, don't forget to approach your preferred funding sources. We would like to offer all the flexibility and support needed to encourage your participation, but organisational constraints remain high in New Zealand and anticipation is our best option!
We would be also grateful if you could fill in this short <https://forms.gle/Fh612sSdqGTFbZG99> questionnaire about your willingness to participate in the Rotorua 2024 conference. Thank you to all those who have already done so. This is important information to support your Organizing Committee!
We look forward to welcoming many of you to Rotorua in just over 7 months' time for some friendly scientific and social activities in beautiful New Zealand scenery!

adaptation to climate change) and Coordinator of the ANR project
<https://www6.inrae.fr/epitree-project/> EPITREE (Evolutionary and
functional impact of epigenetic variation in forest trees) would like to
advertise our memberships about a joined EPI-CATCH/EPITREE workshop entitled
Epigenetics in woody plants to be organized Sept. 28-29, 2023 in Orléans,
France (see the attached presentation document). The workshop will host an
open conference session with international speakers on Sept. 28 (on-site and
remote) followed by a networking workshop on Sept. 29 (on-site only, by
invitation or upon request). A very exciting field with multiple prospects
for the production of adapted tree varieties!
