Dear IUFRO 2.09.02 Colleagues,
Pr. Stéphane Maury (Univ. Orléans) and Dr. Caroline Teyssier (INRAE
Orléans), MC Members (France) of the new EU COST action
<https://www.cost.eu/actions/CA21157/> COPYTREE (CA21157-European Network
for Innovative Woody Plant Cloning, 2022-2026) would like to notify us that
the corresponding <https://www.copytree.eu/> website has now been launched.
As you may remember, COPYTREE is chaired by Pr. Stefaan Werbrouck (Univ.
Gent, Belgium, <mailto:stefaan.werbrouck@ugent.be>

of in vitro cloning of woody plants, its public acceptance, risk assessment
and the promotion of commercial applications. This action is therefore
highly relevant to our IUFRO 2.09.02 Working Party!
Visit frequently the <https://www.copytree.eu/> COPYTREE website to follow
and/or participate in the COPYTREEs activities!
Note also that the first COPYTREE conference on "Innovative woody plant
cloning" will be organized next 17-18 April, 2023, at the University of
Santiago de Compostela (Spain). The Conference is held on site. For any
question, please contact Dr. Nieves Vidal ( <mailto:nieves@mbg.csic.es>

Mechanisms to Applications to be organized 30 May 1 June 2023 in Sofia,
Bulgaria. The conference will host sessions on plant epigenetic responses to
environmental stresses, underlying epigenetic mechanisms, advances and new
approaches in plant epigenetics for crop improvement in the context of
global warming. Of course, a topic of high relevance for breeding and
propagating forest trees!
Please find attached the conference brochure. If interested, you can access
