Dear IUFRO Landscape Ecology WP members,

The “II Simposio Nacional de Ecología del Paisaje” of Colombia will take place in Bogotá on 29th and 30th of November, 2018.  This year the symposium will be dedicated to the theme “Interconnecting society and science for conservation and construction of whole landscapes”.  The event is organized by the “Instituto de Investigación de Recursos Biológicos Alexander von Humboldt”, “Pontificia Universidad Javeriana” and “Universidad Nacional de Colombia”, and it has the support of the IUFRO Landscape Ecology Working Party. Dolors Armenteras, the Latin America representative of the IUFRO LE WP and responsible for the IALE-IUFRO Working Group on Forest Landscape Ecology, is one of the organizers.
