Adaptive management for Forested Landscapes in transformation

Changes in forest use occurring in response to the pressures of globalization, population growth, resource scarcity and ecological degradation (“the key challenges") are the main topics for the IUFRO conference that will take place in Posadas, Argentina next October http://iufro2018posadas.com/ organized by INTA Argentina with support from Irstea, France

Within the framework of the IUFRO 2018 Posadas Conference, two courses are available during the weekend previous to the conference of September 29th and 30th. (see attch.)

The courses are aimed at assessing the ecosystem services provided by forests and how to work for their conservation based on a series of principles from the fields of conflict resolution, transformation, strategic communication and economic incentives. They are open to graduate and postgraduate students, researchers and technicians involved in processes associated with ecosystem services and forest management.
