Dear Colleagues from IUFRO Division 2 and IUFRO 2.09.02 Unit,

We are delighted to confirm that our sixth IUFRO 2.09.02 Unit Conference will be held from 3-8 March 2024 in Rotorua, New Zealand!

"The might of vegetative propagation for healthy and productive forests to face climate challenges"

We will be welcomed by Dr. Jana Krajňáková (Senior Researcher for tissue culture) and Dr. Henri Baillères (General Manager forest to timber products) and their teams from Scion, a crown research institute that specialises in research, science and technology development for the forestry, wood product, wood-derived materials, and other biomaterial sectors.

Please, check the attached announcement and visit the Conference website.

Note that the deadline for early birds registration and abstract submission is 15 November 2023.

Due to unforeseen difficulties, it's a quite short deadline, so we're counting on your responsiveness to help us organise the conference smoothly!

There are two IUFRO sponsorships (SAP) available for scientists from economically disadvantaged countries in Asia. See the Procedure to apply. Deadline: 30 November 2023

We also organise our 4th IUFRO 2.09.02 Student’s scientific competition. See the Procedure to participate. Deadline: 30 November 2023

Thanks for your help in disseminating this information to your colleagues, teams, IUFRO Units and other networks interested in vegetative propagation of trees and its applications for sustainable management of forests and tree plantations.

We would also be grateful if you could circulate this information to your organisation/institution in order to consider sponsorship opportunities to support our 6th IUFRO 2.09.02 conference. If interested, please contact Kylie Gunn (Kylie.gunn@scionresearch.com).

We look forward to seeing you in Rotorua for a great 2.09.02 conference!
