Dear colleagues,

I am currently looking for, and compiling, information on the use of pheromones for the control of insect pests in forest management. My main interest is for published and internal reports that your institutions may have on the experimental and operational use of pheromones for the control of insect populations  - including information on application technology, formulation technology and efficacy. However, I am also interested in documented information on the operational use of pheromone traps for routine monitoring and detection of insect pests including information on the types of traps that are used and the rational for their use over other types that are available.

To date I have found very few articles in the published literature that describe the operational use of pheromones  in forest pest management and I would be very grateful for any electronic documents or references to published literature that you can provide me with.If you have printed documents that you are able to send me then please contact me for my mailing address.

I will be attending the IUFRO meeting in Colonia de Sacramento, Uruguay and I look forward to meeting some of you there.

Thank you for your consideration,

Chris Riley
