Dear colleagues,

On the 12th and 13th of February 2024, the IUFRO Forest Health Division 7 will be celebrating the International Day of Women and Girls in Science with a free webinar series.

To recognize the contribution women make to forest health research, we invite you to three online sessions highlighting the work of 21 women. The speakers will present their research on topics related to forest pests and pathogens, forest ecology, invasion biology and climate change. Four of our speakers from Benin, Nepal, New Zealand and the USA will also share their perspectives on gender-related challenges in forestry, research and higher education.

Register on our website and attend up to three online sessions. Please note that these times are in GMT.

  1. Session 1 - 12th February 13:00 to 15:00 GMT
  2. Session 2 - 12th February 20:00 to 22:00 GMT
  3. Session 3 - 13th February 07:00 to 09:00 GMT

Please share it widely. Looking forward to celebrating with you.

Kindest regards

Josephine Queffelec on behalf of the organizing committee.
