Dear colleagues,

My best wishes for a very beautiful year 2021.

With its share of bad news, the end of the year 2020 was no exception to the rule. Just before Christmas, we learned that our former colleague Michel Morelet passed away at 82.

Michel was a great mycologist and taxonomist, specialist in the systematics of Deuteromycetes. His contribution to etiology and systematics in forest pathology has been substantial. He was one of the "founding members" of the Forest Pathology Laboratory of INRA in Nancy, France. All those who knew him will remember him as a passionate man, jovial and endowed with a very sharp sense of humor.
